Light at the icefalls

In December the sun is up for only about two hours in Rovaniemi around the solstice. From February there is more of it and the days are longer, and by March sunrise in Rovaniemi is before 8:00. If photos are the main point, February and March give the most usable light; see when to go.

Ask when the photos arrive

Edited photos take time. One reviewer of the photo tour was still waiting two months after the trip. If you need the pictures for a particular date, ask the operator how long delivery takes before you book, and take a few on your own phone as well.
