The short answer
For most visitors the best Korouoma tour is the hike by Arctic GM: pickup at your accommodation in Rovaniemi, a group of at most 8, thermal overalls included and the full 4–6 km walk down to the icefalls and back, from age 8.
If grips for the icy descent matter most, choose Arctic Aurora Experience, whose listing includes spikes. With children aged 5 to 7, the guided small-group option of BookLapland accepts children from 5. For a second sight on the same day, The Treasure of Lapland adds the Auttiköngäs rapids and takes children from 7.

Spikes for your shoes are part of the package, with photos from the guide and a BBQ by the fire. Hotel pickup within 20 km of Rovaniemi.
Auttiköngäs first, a gorge with a rapid that does not freeze and an observation tower, then two icefalls in Korouoma. Groups of at most 8, from age 7.
The coach option takes you there without a guide on the trail; overalls and boots come with both options. The guided small-group option adds a hot BBQ lunch.
Choose the kind of day, what matters most and the age of the youngest in your group. The suggestion checks the minimum age stated in each listing.

Also a good fit
Nearly every Korouoma tour drives from Rovaniemi to the Saukkovaara trailhead, walks down to the frozen waterfalls, stops at a fire and climbs back out. The canyon is the same for everyone, so our verdict rests on the details each listing states: where you are picked up, what you get for the icy slope, how many people share the guide and from what age children can join.
Arctic GM collects you at your accommodation and drives in 4×4 vans; the day takes seven hours. Most other tours also pick up at your hotel, some only within a radius of 7 to 20 km. Wild about Lapland collects only outside the city centre, and the BookLapland coach option leaves from its office on Koskikatu without a guide on the trail. The full comparison lists pickup for every tour.
The slope into the canyon is steep and polished, and Metsähallitus recommends ice grips in winter. Arctic Aurora Experience lists spikes and ToTheNorth lists snow grips. The Arctic GM listing names thermal overalls but no grips; reviewers mention receiving spikes on the day. If grips are not in the listing, ask the operator or bring a pair, as the page on what to wear explains.
Where a limit is stated it is usually 8, as at Arctic GM, Wild about Lapland, Beyond Arctic and Lapland Outdoor Adventures. With eight people a guide can wait for the slowest walker on the climb out. A small group does not make the canyon quieter, though: up to 150–200 people can stand below the icefalls at once, and an early start helps more. Small-group tours compared.
BookLapland accepts children from 5, The Treasure of Lapland from 7, Arctic GM and Beyond Arctic from 8, and the Riisitunturi combination with Aurora Monkeys from 14. Many listings state no age; for a child under 8, ask the operator first. Korouoma with children.
Combination tours use the long drive for a second sight: Auttiköngäs with The Treasure of Lapland, Riisitunturi with Aurora Monkeys, or an evening northern lights tour with Arctic Aurora Experience. They spend less time in Korouoma itself, and the northern lights are never guaranteed. If the icefalls are the reason for the trip, a Korouoma-only tour gives you the whole walk. Combination tours.
For most visitors, the hike by Arctic GM: pickup at your accommodation, at most 8 guests, thermal overalls included and the full 4–6 km walk to the icefalls, from age 8.
Arctic Aurora Experience lists spikes for your shoes, and ToTheNorth lists snow grips. Other listings name clothing and boots but no grips, so check the gear column or bring your own.
The guided small-group option of BookLapland, which accepts children from 5 and includes overalls, boots and a BBQ lunch. The Treasure of Lapland takes children from 7, Arctic GM from 8.
Only if the second sight matters to you. Combination tours walk less in the canyon: the Auttiköngäs day about 2.5–3 km in Korouoma, the Riisitunturi day a single icefall.
